Obituary for Robert Blaine Jessee

Robert Blaine Jessee, 64, 113 South Second Street, Watauga, TN died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Jessee was a native of Russell County, Va and had lived in Tennessee for the past 36 years. He was a son of the late Robert Garfield and Lauralee Nora Minton Jessee. Mr. Jessee was a retired truck driver with Gouge Trucking Co. in Burnsville, NC and was a former driver with Summers Hardware in Johnson City with over thirty years of service. He was a member of the First Church of God, Lynn Avenue in Elizabethton. Mr. Jessee is preceded in death by: his parents ; one son, William Blaine Jessee; and three infant brothers. Survivors include: his wife, Edna Dean Jessee of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Edna Jeanette Jessee and Jerry Carver of Watauga; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Walter "J.W.” and Wilma Jessee of Castlewood,VA; one sister Bertha Jessee Austin Williams of Castlewood,VA ; four grandchildren, Mindy Renee Malone of Bluff City, Becky Lee Brewer of Johnson City, Jacklyn Jessee of Elizabethton and Kevin Blaine Jessee also of Elizabethton; two great granddaughters, Alexis Chyanne Malone and Michelle Renee Malone ,both of Bluff City; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Robert Blaine Jessee will be conducted at 2 PM
Tuesday, March 14, 2006 in the First Church of God, Lynn Avenue, in Elizabethton. Rev. Jerry Carver and Rev. Mike Crosby will officiate.
Music for the service will be by the Evangliaires and Bessie Ricker, Soloist .
Interment will follow in the Scalf Cemetery, on Smalling Road in Watauga.
Active pallbearers will be Rob Austin, Doug Austin, Shaun Malone, Aaron Hawkins, Frankie Dean and Kevin Jessee. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the First Church of God. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
