Obituary for Sandy Reed

Sandy Reed
Sandy Reed (Priest) age 62 of Fine Lake passed away December 26, 2011 in Melbourne Florida after a courageous fight with cancer. Sandy was born November 8, 1949 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Louis and Dorthy (King) Priest. Sandy was a 1967 graduate of Gull Lake High school and went on to graduate from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors in Education. Sandy always considered herself a Chippewa at heart because of her days at Central Michigan University. After twenty-one years of service at Michigan Career and Technical Institute Sandy retired. She lived on Fine Lake where she enjoyed boating and relaxing with her feet in the water at the end of the dock. Sandy also loved scuba diving, traveling, the beach, white water rafting, and golfing. Many days were spent walking the beach in Florida and catching some rays poolside or at her home on the lake in Michigan . Sandy spent her life laughing with friends and cheering on her children and grandchildren throughout their lives. Sandy is survived by her son Chris (RaNae) Reed and Lindsey Lipscomb-Reed; brother Bob (Chris) Priest; and grandchildren Kim and Austyn Lipscomb-Reed. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kim Reed. A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held at 11am January 14, 2011 at Faith United Methodist Church, in Delton. Following the service please join us at the Delton VFW for lunch and the sharing of fond memories about Sandy’s life from family, friends, and all those that were part of Sandy’s life.
