Obituary for John F. LaPine


Mr. John F. LaPine, age 66, of 1901 Orchard Street #1, Madison, Indiana, entered this life on July 21, 1939, in Canaan, Indiana, the son of William Pierre & Iva Mae Richards LaPine, both of whom preceded him in death. He was raised in the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in downtown Madison. He was employed early in life with the old Joyce Shoe Factory & Shipley's Tavern. Later he worked for Gayle Club Construction and then at the Tower Manufacturer (Tack Factory) and was disabled in car wreck in May 1973. He was a member of the Jefferson Post 9, Son's of the American Legion & the former Madison Eagles Lodge. He loved wrestling, watching TV, fishing, devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt & NASCAR. He was united first in marriage to Delores Ferguson and to this union arrived a daughter: Nina & a son: John F. to bless the home. A later marriage was to Mary Jane Chadwell and to this union arrived a daughter: Jonetta & twins: Cari & Chad to bless their home. John was a devoted father, Papaw and friend. John died Monday, December 26, 2005 at 6:10 pm at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

John will be missed by his companion of 8 years: Sharon Counts of Madison, Indiana; 3 daughters & sons-in-Law: Nina & Charles Wayne LaPine of Madison, Indiana; Jonetta & Rick Tankersley of Madison, Indiana; Cari LaPine of Madison, Indiana; 2 step daughters & step son in law: Tina & Robbie DeBurger of Hanover, Indiana; Cindy & Tommy Amburgey of Scottsburg, Indiana; 2 sisters & brother in law: Ruth Ann Stuart of Madison, Indiana; Francis & Roy Covington of Lancaster, Indiana; 4 brothers & sisters in law: Bob & Dorothy LaPine of Wilmington, Ohio; Wayne & Donna LaPine of Madison, Indiana; Jimmy & Ruthie LaPine of Madison, Indiana; George LaPine of Madison, Indiana; 18-grandchildren, 10-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William Pierre & Iva Mae Richards LaPine; his sons: John F. LaPine died: Jan. 5, 1991 & Chad A. LaPine died: Jan. 19, 1993; his brother: Bill LaPine; his sisters: Mary Tilley, Norma Morris, Dorothy Giesler, Bessie Sevier, Josephine Robertson & Margie LaPine.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 1:00 pm, by Dr. Clyde T. Angel at Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana 47250. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, Indiana.

Friends may call Wednesday, From 5-8 pm, December 28 & Thursday from 9am until time of the service at the Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana.
