Olive M. Bishop, age 95 of 2016 County Line Road, Greenville (Sandy Creek Twp.) passed away at her residence at 9:40 am on Saturday, December 3, 2011 following a period of declining health..

She was born in Salem Twp. on November 10, 1916 a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Clara M. (Hoffman) Fritz, on May 16, 1941 she married Clinton W. Bishop who preceded her in death on July 23, 2003. Olive was a homemaker and had been a bus driver for the Commodore Perry School District for many years. She was a member of the North Salem United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Women’s Society and had been a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was a former member of the Mary Jane Rebekah Lodge # 496.

She is survived by a son Glenn C. Bishop and his wife Wilma of Greenville and a daughter Kathleen Bartholomew of Greenville, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Irene McCracken and 2 brothers, Paul G. Fritz and Ralph G. Fritz.

Funeral and committal service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home, Ltd., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Steven Lamb, pastor of the North Salem United Methodist Church officiating. Following cremation, the interment will be at the Hadley Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made in Olive’s name to the North Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 155, Hadley, PA 16130.
