Pauline H.  Gilliland (Hamilton)
Pauline H. Gilliland was born July 14, 1925 in Sperry, OK the tenth child of Robert Lee & Bertha Deen (Neeley) Hamilton and passed from this life November 22, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 86.

Pauline graduated from Skiatook High School. She then moved into Tulsa and lived at the YWCA and worked at McDonald Douglas as Rosie the Riveter. In 1947 she married John T. Gilliland and had 2 sons. In the early years she was an in home babysitter. Then Pauline became a Dental Assistant for Dr. George B. Menkoff. She also served as President of the Dental Assistance Association. Pauline enjoyed painting and yearly entered her paintings at the Tulsa State Fair. She was a longtime member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. She loved to entertain, cook – putting her own twist on new recipes, and enjoyed watching OU football. Her home was a show place of her many interest and talents. Pauline was not only a great Mom to her own children and grandchildren, but also to her many nieces and nephews and children of many friends. She was loved by all who met her.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Thomas Gilliland; her sister, Ida Jewell Hamilton; her brothers, Roy Grover Hamilton, Robert Russell Hamilton, Walter Riley Hamilton, Clarence Hamilton, Clifford Charles Hamilton, Everett Hamilton, Oscar Hamilton, Clyde C. Hamilton and Benton Monroe Hamilton. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, John Thomas & Margaret Ann (Wooden) Gilliland, Jr. and Terrance Reed & Elizabeth Jane (Moulis) Gilliland; her grandchildren, Kimberlie & her husband Andrew Sikora, Kristen & her husband Craig Westmoreland, Colby and her husband Donald Henly, John Gilliland and his fiancé Katy Smart; her great grandchildren, Sean, Skyla, Clint, Kyleigh and Ella; numerous nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Fred Kehler.

Pauline will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Cemetery, Sand Springs, OK.
