Mrs. Betty Jean Kelley, age 77, of Collinsville, Alabama, passed away on Sunday evening, November 20, 2011, at a Centre, Ala. healthcare facility.

Mrs. Kelley was born in Floyd County, Georgia on October 11, 1934, daughter of the late Jake Moore Beard and the late Ethel Louise Huggins Beard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Kelley, to whom she was married on March 26, 1953, in May of 2005, by a son, Timothy Mark Kelley, and by a sister, Miss Ruth Beard. Mrs. Kelley worked for a number of years at Advanced Glove Mill here in Rome. She was a member of the House of Deliverance.

Survivors include a daughter, Ms. Vickie Fordham, Leesburg, Ala.; 2 sons, James Harold Kelley, Jr., Rome, and Steven David Kelley, Collinsville; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mildred Clark, Kingston, and Mrs. Eva Stewart, Rome; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 3pm EDT from the graveside in Plunkett Cemetery near Mt. Vernon, Alabama. Members of the family will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8pm. At other hours they may be contacted at each of their respective residences.
