Obituary for Harold Eugene Jones

Harold E. Jones, son of the late William Harrison and Jessie Marie Clark Jones, was born in Fisk, Missouri on January 24, 1923, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 20, 2011, at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 26 days.
He had lived in Nebraska and Iowa and returned to the Puxico area in 1963 where he lived until moving to Poplar Bluff recently. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He had worked as a lineman for Chicago and Northwestern before he retired and was a farmer. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during WW II.
On January 26, 1946, he was married to Evelyn Irene Mansbridge in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Irene Jones of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two daughters & husbands, Sandra Kay & Harold DePew of Walworth, Wisconsin, Carolyn & Bob Fisher of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one son, John & Pat Biltoft of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a special adoptee, Ernie Woodall of Clarkton, Missouri, five grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy Asher, Will & Leslie Asher, Aaron & Chris Asher, Jessica & Joel Murphy, Bobbi Jo & Heath Lance; thirteen great grandchildren, Erika, Kynlee, Chad, Bailey, Dylan, Logan, Mason, Nolan, Austin, Mackenzie, Natalie, Gavin and Brooklyn; one sister, Isabel Clark of Valejo, California; and two brothers, Donald Jones of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Willis Jones of Piedmont, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Kay Jones.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 22, 2011, after 12:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Dallas Merriman of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
